ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

My name is Jim Bower, a photographer and YouTube creator by advocation. From an early age, I was fascinated by the magic photographs possess snapping singular fractions of a second in time and holding those moments as long as that image lasts on film, photographic paper and now in digitally electronic binary representation. Those singular frames stopping the passage of time capturing animate and inanimate subjects in their state of existence at that very moment...never, ever to be repeated again held in perpetuity of the medium whatever its useful, cared or neglected life may hold it. From film to digital, I have reignited learning the photometric properties basic to many as I transition away from relying upon equipment automatic defaults and regulated assistance. My challenged path has only begun toward mastering cameras' continuum of countless settings combinations. This website is my declaration of transparently sharing my path capturing subjects and moments unfolding before me, whether executed poorly or properly.
